Common troubleshooting of engraving machine

The following are common fault phenomena and solutions for engraving machines.

1. When the machine returns to the mechanical origin, sometimes it works normally and sometimes it crashes. Limit alarms often appear during the engraving process.

Approach:

1) Whether the 15-core data cable is damaged or has poor contact (replace the 15-core data cable)

2) Whether there is dust on the photoelectric switch (remove dust)

3) Whether the photoelectric switch is weakly soldered or damaged (re-solder or replace the photoelectric switch)

2. The main shaft of the machine does not rotate

Approach:

1) Check whether the spindle is stuck. (Report for repair)

2) Check whether the inverter has any display or alarm

3) Check whether the inverter U, V, and W have output voltages

4) Check the spindle switch signal board

5) Check the potentiometer

6) Reground the ground wire

7) Check the spindle cable

8) Replace the data cable

9) Replace the control card

3. The X and Y axes of the machine are misaligned

Approach:

1) Check whether the machine's idle stroke and processing speed are too fast,

2) Check whether there is any gap between the machine's gearbox and rack (limited to rack machines)

3) Check the drive

4) Install voltage regulator

5) Replace the PCI slot of the control card

6) Adjust the round nut stop washer

4. When opening the control software, it prompts that the hardware cannot be found.

Approach:

1) Replace the PCI slot of the VIC control card or replace the computer

2) VIC control card problem.

5. The Z-axis of the machine cannot lift the knife

Approach:

1) Check the drive of the Z axis of the machine

2) Check whether the belt of the Z-axis of the machine is worn or whether the pulley is slipping

6. For machines above 1.8 meters, the motors on both sides of the Y-axis are not synchronized.

Approach:

1) Check the signal separation board

2) Check the two drives or motors of the Y axis

3) Ground wire

7. Machines above 1.8 meters are not round when engraving circles.

Approach:

1) Check that there is a gap between the gearbox rack and gear shaft of the machine

2) Check whether the machine belt is worn or whether the pulley is slipping

8. Abnormal noises from the machine

Approach:

1) Check whether the synchronizing wheels are on the same plane.

2) Check whether the reduction gearbox is loose.

3) Check whether the screws of the machine are loose.

4) Check whether the belt of the machine is loose.

9. The X and Y axes have jagged edges and scratches.

Approach:

1) The slider is loose or damaged

2) The gear shaft of the machine is loose

10. The three axes of the machine do not move.

Approach:

1) Check whether the voltage on the machine transformer is normal

2) Check the 5V switching power supply

3) Replace the data cable or control card

4) Drive failure

11. The vacuum pump has insufficient suction power.

Approach:

1) Check whether the machine nozzle is leaking

2) Clean the filter and add lubricating oil to the pump

3) Replace graphite blades

4) Cool the working fluid and increase the flow (water suction pump)

5) For other faults, please refer to the vacuum pump instruction manual.

12. Frequency converter alarm

Approach:

Read the inverter manual (reply for repair).
